Growing up on a small farm on Vancouver Island, my childhood was filled with fresh vegetables from our garden, fruit from our trees and eggs from our chickens. It was also treated to pure honey from my Grandfather’s bees – My Grandfather and his bees taught me the basics of keeping bees, the important role of bees in pollination and of course how good raw honey tastes.
In 2011, I decided to get some bees of my own as I missed the taste of raw honey from my Grandfather’s bees – and E’s Bee’s was born. The bees help the local gardens and the community’s ecosystem and create delicious honey from the nectar they gather at the nearby flowers and blossoms, honey that I am glad to be able to share with you.
I also hope to share information about beekeeping, the importance of pollinators to our food supply, and the fascinating aspects of how bees live their lives. Bee sure to sign up for the newsletter – thanks for visiting!
